HORROR

Horror movies have been a staple of cinema for over a century, with countless movies in the genre that have become iconic classics. Some of the earliest horror movies date back to the silent era, with films such as The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) and Nosferatu (1922) setting the stage for the genre to come.

During the Golden Age of Hollywood in the 1930s and 1940s, the horror genre was dominated by Universal Studios, which produced classic films such as Frankenstein (1931), Dracula (1931), The Wolf Man (1941), and The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954).

In the 1960s and 1970s, horror movies took a turn towards more graphic and violent content, with films such as Psycho (1960), Night of the Living Dead (1968), The Exorcist (1973), and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) pushing the boundaries of what was acceptable in mainstream cinema.

In recent years, horror movies have continued to evolve and innovate, with films such as Get Out (2017), A Quiet Place (2018), and Hereditary (2018) receiving critical acclaim and commercial success.

Horror movies continue to be a popular genre in cinema, with new releases and remakes of classic films continuing to scare and thrill audiences around the world.
